3 Doors Down: Seventeen Days - Track 7 - Behind Those Eyes What?! No tabs for this song anywhere online? Well here's what I believe to be the first attempt at tabbing this out. Any comments or corrections are welcome. The only part I haven't got is the guitar solo and improvised fills for the second guitar. It's been a while since I posted a tab but here one is. Please rate this tab =D Also, why not check out my band's site while youre here: www.pre-fix.tk Legend: h - Hammer on p - Pull off b - Bend r - Bend Return = - Staccato (Stopping the note after picking it, generally by lifting fretting hand off strings) Tuning: Standard (E;A;D;G;B;e) x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x INTRO/VERSE BOTH GUITARS - CLEAN 0:00 One guitar is always playing this riff, whilst the other follows the basic pattern with bits every now and then. e|----------------------------------| B|---3-----1-----1h3---0h1----------| G|-----2-----2-------------2--------| D|-0-----0-----0-----0-------3--3p0-| A|----------------------------------| E|----------------------------------| e|--------------------------------------| B|--------------------------------------| G|-----0-------------0------------------| D|-0h2---2-------0h2---2----------0-----| A|---------3--3----------3--3-0h2---2---| E|------------------------------------3-| e|------------------------0-1---1---| B|---3-----1-----1h3----3---------0-| G|-----2-----2----------------------| D|-0-----0-----0-----0--------------| A|----------------------------------| E|----------------------------------| e|-------------------------------| B|-----1-------------------------| G|-0h2---2---2p0---0-------------| D|---------3-----3------2b3r2----| A|----------------------------3--| E|-------------------------------| x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x CHORUS BOTH GUITARS - DISTORTION 0:53 I'm pretty sure this is accurate but its possible they may be playing in Drop-D to put power behind the D power chord. e|----------| B|----------| G|----------| D|-2b3r2----| A|-------3--| E|----------| e|---------------------------------------------| B|---------------------------------------------| G|---------------------------------------------| D|-7----7-10--5----5-7---5----------7----------| A|-5----5-8---3----3-5---5------3h5-5---7p5----| E|-5----5-8---3----3-5---3---3h5----5-------5--| x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x GUITAR SOLO 2:28 This is the backing riff to the solo. Unfortunately I haven't worked out the solo, but I do I'll post it. e|-----------------------------------------------------------| B|-----------------------------------------------------------| G|-2---2---x-----------------------7=----------7=----7---7---| D|-2---2---x--5---5-5--5--5--3=----7=--x-3=----7=--x-7---7---| A|-0---0---x--5---5-5--5--5--3=--x-5=--x-3=--x-5=--x-5---5---| E|------------3---3-3--3--3--1=--x-------1=--x---------------| x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x INTERLUDE BOTH GUITARS - CLEAN 2:42 Directly after the solo the distortion goes away and both guitars play lines similar to this. This whole riff is played twice. e|-------0-------------------------------0--------------0--------| B|-------0---------------3---3---------3-3--3---3-----3-3--3---3-| G|-----2-----2---2-------0---0---0---2--------2-----2--------2---| D|---2---------2-------0-------0---0--------------0--------------| A|-0-----------------2-------------------------------------------| E|-----------------3---------------------------------------------| e|---------------------------------------0--------------0--------| B|-------3---------------3---3---------3-3--3---3-----3-3--3---3-| G|-----0-0---0---0-------0---0---0---2--------2-----2--------2---| D|---2---------2-------0-------0---0--------------0--------------| A|-3-----------------2-------------------------------------------| E|-----------------3---------------------------------------------| x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x ENDING 3:56 This is the powerchords to the ending, I'm not too sure what the other guitar plays. e|-------------------------------------------------| B|-------------------------------------------------| G|-7---5---2---5---7-------------7-----------------| D|-7---5---2---5---7---5----3----7-----------------| A|-5---3---0---3---5---5----3----5-----------------| E|---------------------3----1----5-----------------| x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x That's a great song for not only solo practice but band practice as well. hey, i havent heard the song that much, but the intro sounds great, good tab
Hey. I love 3 Doors Down, but I'm just not good at playing by ear yet. This sounds great. I'm having trouble with that intro but I don't think that's your fault. The tabs are just about perfect. Keep the good work up. And I will check out your bands site...
good job
