Artist: A
Song: WDYCAI (Why don’t you cry about it)
Tabbed by: Deadmeat (the_xxxxx@hotmail.com)

This is the first song I ever tabbed, I think it’s 90% correct, mail me if you find any
mistakes

Standard tuning (E A D G B e)

The verse goes like this. The first time it gets played 2 times, and then there’s a little
slide down between the two plays.

VERSE:
					   3x
e|--------------------------------|---------------|
B|--------------------------------|---------------|
G|----7--------------5-5-5-5-5-5-*|---------------|
D|----7----5--5---7—-5-5-5-5-5-5-*|---7---\-------|
A|----5----5--5---7—-3-3-3-3-3-3--|---7---\-------|
E|---------3--3---5---------------|---5---\-------|
							Slide

The pre-chorus starts when he starts singing “talking about a new way…” etc.

PRE-CHORUS:
					  3x
e|--------------------------------|---------------|
B|--------------------------------|---------------|
G|----------9--9-----------------*|--7------------|
D|----9--9--9--9--6--6--7--7-----*|--7------------|
A|----9--9--7--7--6--6--7--7------|--5------------|
E|----7--7--------4--4--5--5------|--^------------|
						This
Gets played some time, listen to the CD for the rythym of strumming

In the chorus, there are two guitars.

CHORUS (GUITAR 1):
		   4x 2x
e|--------------|---------8--7---|---8--10---------|
B|-------10-8---|----------------|-----------------|
G|--0-7--------*|*-----7--------*|-----------------|
D|-------------*|*--9-----------*|-----------------|
A|--------------|----------------|-----------------|
E|--------------|----------------|-----------------|
These notes should only
be played if you repeat it,
between the 1st and 2nd time

CHORUS (GUITAR 2):
				A
e|----------------------|---------------------------|
B|----------------------|---------------------------|
G|-----------4---5---7--|---------4---5---5---------|
D|---5---4---4---5---7--|-5---4---4---5---5---------|
A|---5---4---2---3---5--|-5---4---2---3---3---------|
E|---3---2--------------|-3---2---------------------|
Every chord gets played around 8 times

I’m not too sure about the 2nd chord. Mail me if you know the right chord.

After the first chorus, this is what happenes:

POST-CHORUS1 (GUITAR 1):

Instead of the two notes at the end, the 1st guitar now plays:

e|-----8--7--8--7----------|----19-------------19----------|
B|-----------------8-------|-------------------------------|
G|--7-----------------7----|--------19--19---------19--19--|
D|-------------------------|-------------------------------|
A|-------------------------|-------------------------------|
E|-------------------------|-------------------------------|

POST-CHORUS1 (GUITAR 2):

The 2nd guitar finishes normally, and the plays this:

e|-------------------------|
B|-------------------------|
G|-----7------7------------|
D|-----7------7------------|
A|-----5------5------------|
E|-------------------------|
Listen to the CD to find out about the rythym. They get played a lot.

After the 2nd verse, the 2nd guitar plays another rythym.

POST-CHORUS2 (GUITAR 2):

e|--------------------|--------------------------|
B|--------------------|--------------------------|
G|----7---7---7---7---|--7----------55555555-----|
D|----7---7---7---7---|--7---5--5---55555555-----|
A|----5---5---5---5---|--5---5--5---33333333-----|
E|--------------------|------3--3----------------|
				PM . . . . . . . . . . . .
Same rythym as in the verses, palm muted

After the ‘silent’ part, the 2nd guitar starts again like this

GUITAR 2 RESTART:

G|----5555555------------|
D|----5555555---3333-----|
A|----3333333---3333-----|
E|--------------1111-----|

After that play the chorus from position A (see above)

The ending goes like this:

ENDING (GUITAR 1):

Again, the 1st guitar skips the two notes at the end of the chorus and plays this instead:

		   Play 2x Play 2x
e|---------|---8-7-------|--8-7-8-7-----|---8-7-------|
B|--8------|-------8-----|----------8---|-------8-----|
G|-----7---|*--------7--*|------------7-|*--------7--*|

ENDING (GUITAR 2):

D|---5--5---7--7---5--5---7--7----5---||
A|---3--3---5--5---3--3---5--5----5---||

VERSE1
I'm so tired, I need sleep
I'm talking to my pillow case, what's wrong with me?
I make mistakes, but them's the breaks
I'm crying out for anyone to come and rescue me
PRE-CHORUS
Talk about a new wave (Whoa-oh, whoa-oh!)
Talk about a way to save the day (Whoa-oh, whoa-oh!)
Talk about a new world
Just not today
CHORUS
Hey there, why you look so sad?
What made you so mad that you can't
You can't get over it
Hey there, why you look so hurt?
You get what you deserve, you know, here we go
Why don't you cry about it?
VERSE2
Life's a bitch, and so am I
If you want it bad enough, there's lots of easy ways to die
You get what you deserve, you know, here we go
ENDING
Why don't you, why can't you
So tough when no-one knows you
No homies, so lonely
Why don't you cry about it now?
