LAST OF DAYS - A Fine Frenzy
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tabbed by: Jamiemosher

**Full lyrics at bottom**

Hello! This is my first tab! Woo!
This is how I play this song (emphasis on I!) The original is played on a piano,
so there is no *official* way to play it,
everyone has their own opinion on how it should sound.

I know the intro that starts on G|--5-----5----- but i like the higher sound.
                                D|-----7-----7--

*Disclaimer: I tabbed this version before ever seeing other versions of the intro.
I am a self taught novice so if you don't like it, then there is no need to learn it.

Tuning: Standard, no capo

Chords you will use: Am, G, F, C

Intro, and verse (optional for verses, but i do it):

play x2 for intro, and x2 for each verse

e|--8------8--------7------7--------6--------6--------5--------5-----------3----------|
B|-----10------10-------8-------8--------8--------8--------6--------6------5----------|
G|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm going to try and line up the riff with the verse lyrics as they are sung. it
pretty much goes by the syllables.
It will be spread out, but remember that this goes really fast! if i can do it,
you can. believe me.

e|--8-----------8----------7--------7----------6-----------6---------5----------5-----------3----|
B|-----10-----------10---------8---------8----------8-----------8---------6----------6------5----|
something's causing fear to fly rising like a dark night in silence

e|--8-----------8----------7--------7----------6-----------6---------5----------5-----------3----|
B|-----10-----------10---------8---------8----------8-----------8---------6----------6------5----|
traffic's slow with broken boats heading for the sky and I'm an island

Pre-Chorus:
(I just do one simple strum for each, no pattern for this)

 F C
I watched you disappear into the clouds
F C
Swept away into another town

Chorus:
[I make up a strumming pattern and i changes, but I basically to a strong Down
(not loud, pronouned)
and then an up/down or two, really soft. just make something up that sounds good
(: ]

     Am G C
the world carries on without you
    Am G C
but nothing remains the same
Am G C Am
I'll be lost without you
  C G C
until the last of days

RIFF - One time

Verse Two, with riff (follow verse one example, i split it up for you)

The sun is in the east,
Rising for the beasts and the beauties

I wish that I could tear it down,
Plant it in the ground to warm your face

Pre-Chorus:

F C
I built myself a castle on the beach
F C
watching as it slid into the sea

RIFF x1

Chorus

     Am G C

Complete Lyrics:

Something causing fear to fly
Rising like a dark night
In silence
Traveling like a broken boat
Heading for the sky
And I'm an island

I watched you disappear into the clouds
Swept away into another town

The world carries on without you
But nothing remains the same
I'll be lost without you
Until the last of days

The sun is in the east,
Rising for the beasts
And the beauties
I wish that I could tear it down,
Plant it in the ground to warm your face

I built myself a castle on the beach
Watching as it slid into the sea

The world carries on without you
But nothing remains the same
I'll be lost without you
Until the last of days
Until the last of days

Through walls and harvest moons
I will fight for you

The world carries on without you
But nothing remains the same
I'll be lost without you
Until the last of days
Until the last of days
