how does one bend an open string? sounds good though man.

When you press F5, the tabber gave instructions on how to bend an open:

"@ 59 -
Nut bends:
1. Place the index finger on the string past the nut,
effectively "fret -1".
2. Press on the string to make the pitch raise and
lower as necessary.
3. This only applies to bend at fret "0""
