IRONIC - ALANIS MORISSETTE
From the album `Jagged little pill'

Transcribed by Louis Visscher .
This tablature would not have come about without the help of Jeff Elkins
. He transcribed the chord-version with a
capo at the 4th fret. I use his chords in this transcription.
He distinguishes 3 guitars.
I also would like to thank Evan C. Parker for his
initial transcription of this song, just like Shawn Maschino
 and Maarten Klaassen .
My tab is for 1 guitar only. For the other guitar parts, look at Jeff's tab!
In verse 2, a clean guitar plays the tab, a clean guitar strums the chords,
and a semi-distorted guitar plays a few riffs. I have incorporated those
riffs in the tab, in such away that one guitar can play both the tab and
the riffs.

CHORUS (distortion)

BRIDGE (clean)
     Emaj7
Well life has a funny way
               F#6add4 F#@ F#6add4
of sneaking up on you when you think everything is okay and
Emaj7 F#6add4 F#@ F#6add4
everything is going right
    Emaj7
And life has a funny way
               F#6add4 F#@ F#6add4
of helping you out when you think everything's gone wrong and

VERSE 3

A clean guitar strums the chords in the normal progression, and throughout the
verse, keybords play something like this:

|---3--0~~~~--|---0----------|
|-2-----------|-2----0~~~~---|
|-------------|--------------|
|-------------|--------------|
|-------------|--------------|

A traffic jam, when you're already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams and then meeting his beautiful wife.
And isn't it..

nice tab, i'm just learnin it to impress my girlfriend :P
i think the first bit of your tab might be wrong though... there sounds like theres more guitarin' in it than you've tabbed out, i gave it 5 stars anyway, 's'not a major problem

its all great but i noticed one problem.... the verse doesn't fit together to the chorse... it doesn't sound good.... but the chorse separately and the verse separately sound great.
