just a slight correction. you may notice that on the opening riff of the song, it doesn't sound quite like the 5th chord that you've put on here, as it is somewhat dischordant. this is achieved by playing it in standard tuning the same way that you would play a 5th in drop-D, then alternating playing the D note on the 5th fret of the A string
like this:

play the intro w/ heavy dist and wah to replicate the sound.
