Album: Nothing Personal (2009)
Chords by Jon Malmin (jogusmal@hotmail.com)
Tuning: Standard E
On request, here's Stella adapted for acoustic guitar...
INTRO: F A Bb C
F Dm
Three P.M., on my feet and staggering
Bb
Through misplaced words and a sinking feeling
C
I got carried away
F Dm
Sick, sick of sleeping on the floor
Bb
Another night, another score, I'm jaded
C
Bottles breaking
CHORUS:
F
You're only happy when I'm wasted
A
I point my finger but I just can't place it
Bb
Feels like I'm falling in love
C
When I'm falling to the bathroom floor
F
I remember how you tasted
A
I've had you so many times, let's face it
Dm Bb
Feels like I'm falling in love alone
F
Stella, would you take me home?
A Bb C
Stella, would you take me home?
F Dm
Two A.M., I'm on a blackout binge again
Bb
You know I don't need sleep and I lost my keys, but
C
I've got so many friends
F Dm
And they keep, keep me coming back for more
Bb
Another night, another score, I'm faded
C
Bottles breaking
[CHORUS]
(Stella would you take me home)
Dm
One more reason I should never have met you
C
Just another reason I could never forget you
Bb F F
Down we go
C F F C
The room's spinning out of control
Dm
Lose myself in a chemical moment
C
The night life's taking its toll
Bb F F
That's just the way it goes
C F
Come on, Stella would you take me home?
[Drums only, an F rings through the first two lines]
You're only happy when I'm wasted
I point my finger but I just can't place it
Feels like I'm falling in love alone
Stella, would you take me home?
[CHORUS, repeat until end]
great job, but do you have any idea what the lead guitar's playing during the intro? cause i can't get it
The Am in the verse should be a Dm. Other than that, sounds good!
Umm, no, of course you can play a Dm without it sounding strange but the correct chord is an Am, sorry dude. Listen to the bass notes, for instance.
