I've wanted a tab I can actually play acoustic by myself, and couldn't find one,
so here's what I came up with. If you don't agree feel free to use or submit
corrections. I understand it isn't perfect note for note with the song, it's more
of an acoustic cover tab to play by yourself than a real tab.

1/2 Step down Capo 5 (my guitar is almost always 1/2 down so you could play
standard with capo 4). Notes relative to capo...

Chords (Not proper names, just what we're gonna call them)

 3 1 3 3 3

 3 3 2 x 2
 x x 0 x 3

(Picked, like intro)

C/D C E/D D C/D C E/D D
I know we're all souls just trying to connect with

C/D C E/D D C/D C E/D D
someone, but we're all left searching on our own

Save pattern as above, just strummed. Listen to song for chord changes...

Tell me that you could hear it
three taps under the floorboard.
Don't say I'm losing it,
maybe you're deaf.
Could have sworn
that I locked
all these windows fairly tight.
Shut the door
hear a knock.
She starts turning off the lights

(Dead notes into chorus)

Chorus strumed like this..

C/D E/D D
 3 3 3
 3 3 3
 0 0 2
 2 2 0
 3 2 x
 x 0 x

C/D E/D D
And from the corner of my eye I saw you dressed all in white

C/D E/D D
I saw you pass right by

C/D E/D D
But maybe I had too much wine I hope you come back

C/D E/D D
tonight you never said goodbye

(Same as above)
Tell me that you could see it
a ghost who's skin is porcelain
Don't say I'm losing it
maybe you're blind
Saw her walk
through a wall,
turn her head and look at me
In a York hotel hall
I am falling to my knees

(Dead notes into chorus)

C/D E/D D
And from the corner of my eye I saw you dressed all in white

C/D E/D D
I saw you pass right by

C/D E/D D
But maybe I had too much wine I hope you come back

C/D E/D D
tonight you never said goodbye

(Picking like first verse)

Softly, as your dress flows,
you say that you're alone.
But I know I can't leave you
lonely and on
your own

(Dead notes into chorus)

C/D E/D D
And from the corner of my eye I saw you dressed all in white

C/D E/D D
I saw you pass right by

C/D E/D D
But maybe I had too much wine I hope you come back

C/D E/D D
tonight you never said goodbye

I'm afraid this is wrong. This song is in the key of B major but in the Mixolydian mode, so it starts with an Eadd9.

The intro and chorus is Eadd9 - Emaj7 - Badd9 - D#m7

The verse is G#m - C#m "Tell me that you could see it..."

Try it :-)
