Athlete - Love Come Rescue
Album - Black Swan
--------------------
tabbed by David Gates
This is one of my favorites from their new album and is easy to play. Verses are
played using stardard chords and the chorus uses bar chords.
Capo 6th fret
Intro:
Am C G D
Verse 1:
Am C G D Dsus4 D
Mother do you still love this child
Am C G D Dsus4 D
A baby on the run
Am C G D Dsus4 D
Father would you forgive me now
Am C G D Dsus4 D
When you see what I have become
Chorus:
F G
Love come rescue
F G
Love come rescue
Verse 2:
Am C G D Dsus4 D
There's a swallow on the phone wire
Am C G D Dsus4 D
Singing songs until my pain
Am C G D Dsus4 D
Songs that will remember
Am C G D Dsus4 D
Or to lift me up again
Chorus
There are no D chords... where you have Ds, it should just be G (with a little bit that goes 1 0 1 3 1 relative to capo on the b string)
Apart from that its all right i think :) good one
mr. blobby is right
Also, the album version has a final part, featuring many "oohs"
I cant be bothered to actually write the rhythms, but the chords at the end are:
Dm, Am, C, G (with the little 1 0 1 3 1 part like the verse)
And the track strangely ends on a C/G (at least the top 3 strings are 010 and the bass note is a G... it has a weird note in it somewhere though.)
Great Chords though, cheers!
Just to comment on Mr Blobby - agree - no D chord, but the chord is
320010 then 320000, 320010 320030 320000 then back to Am - each sequence 3 strums
