This song is a pretty much forgotten song within the band itself, i believe. I doubt
ever play it, and on the basis of youtube i don't think they've ever played it live and had
recorded.

Few basic chords. (Named with simplicity at heart)

Tuning: Standard, Capo 2

      D A G C

e|----0----0----0----0-----------------------------------------------------------|
B|----3----3----3----3-----------------------------------------------------------|
G|----2----0----0----0-----------------------------------------------------------|
D|----0----2----0----2-----------------------------------------------------------|
A|----X----x----2----3-----------------------------------------------------------|
E|----X----x----3----0-----------------------------------------------------------|

Verse 1:

D A
look at them running off the sidewalk,
G D
look at us falling off a building,
D A
look at them reading lights,
G D
look at me, look at you,

D A G D
could everybody standing around us,
D A
could everybody drown us here
     G D
just looking through the looking glass

Chorus:

D A G D D A
  D
not alone, not alone, not alone, not alone here....etc

(Carries on with the same chord patterns through the verse)

look at the sidewalk cracking under,
the under side is black,
look at us broken, bricks are falling,
the shades of grey
look at the shallow, the shallow water, that comes on me
walk to the water, walk to the water,
shed through the looking glass

not alone, not alone, not alone, not alone here....etc

           C D C D (repeated)
Interlude: na na na ner na na na ...

D A G D D A
        D
not alone, not alone, not alone, not alone here....etc

NEWLY ADDED:

The 'Charlie' Song at the end of the song:

Tuning: Standard, Capo 2

This is a slightly difficult pattern to play when you play it initially, but it gets easier.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IebQyNNLW-c - This is my example of this tab.

Charlie.....

e|----0-----0----------0-----0-----------0-----0----------0-----0----------|
B|------1-3---0----------1-3---0-----------1-3---0------1---1-3---0--------|

A|-3-------------3-3---------------3-0-------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

e|--------0-----0----------0-----0-----------------------------------------|
B|------1---1-3---0------1---1-3---0---------------------------------------|
G|--2-1--------------1-1----------------(back to start)--------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

The bit where he goes woooooo ooooooo oh.. wooooo ooh ooooo oh (8:00) is the same
but it starts

e|-----0-----0-----------0----0-----0-----0--------0-----0-----------------|
B|-------1-3---0-------3----3---------1-3---0--------1-3---0---------------|
G|---0---------------0----0------2-------------2-1-------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--3-----------3-3--------------------------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Strum A2 once, then F2 a few times, then C2 once, then alternate between F2 and C2, and
go back in to the picking pattern again

                Go to sleep..
                     A2 F2 C2
e|--------0-----0-----0---0---0------------------------------------------------------|
B|--1-------1-3---0---1---1---1------------------------------------------------------|

D|--------------------0---3---0------------------------------------------------------|
A|----3---------------0---3---3------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------0---0---0------------------------------------------------------|

(not entirely sure on some of the lyrics, there's none posted anywhere!)

Charlie, who do you think you are?
Take your Dramamine and go to sleep
Charlie, Who do you love?
Everyone you know has gone to sleep
So...wooooo oooh wooo...

Go to sleep now
Go.. to sleep now
Go.. to sleep now
Dream of peace/pete

Johnny where did you go?
All that you know has gone to sleep
Ooooo ahhhh ah

Go to sleep now
Go.. to sleep now
Go... to sleep now
Dream of peace/pete?

When you do get your e string, could you PLEASE do the "Charlie" song? It's really sweet and I can't figure out the tab myself!

The song is actually played without the e string. Everything in the song is correct, except for the chorus which simply follows the same chord pattern as the verses (D, A, G, D). 4 stars.

Ok that is my bad.. cuz i play the song in the chorus the same way in the verse.. i just wrote it wrong.. But your comment about the guitar not actually being played with the e string is ridiculous.. they wouldn't take the e string off the guitar to play the song!??

I want to post or [tab]
