The first song I learnt to play on guitar.
The song is really good, romantic soft rock and a great way to for the guys to
build up some rapport among your female friends
\(if that's what you're planning to do).
Pretty easy to learn & play. Chords sound really fine to me, but hey feel free to
bring in any suggestions/comments/criticisms.
It'll just help me approve.

Standard Tuning

So the intro tabs are like this:
e|---0-------0------2------2----|
B|----0-------0------3------3---|
G|-0---0---0---0---2--2---2--2--|
D|2-------2-------0------0------|
A|------------------------------|
E|------------------------------|

For simplicity, first you hold the Em chord and pluck the D, G, e, B, G strings in the order twice,
then switch to D major chord and pluck the same strings in the same order.

Now for the intro strumming, follow the D-DU-UD-DU-UDU pattern
Switch between the Em & D major chords while playing the pattern on each chord twice.
Tip: If this pattern is too much for you right now,
then you can simply play the D UUD UUD pattern as well.

Now we come to the song:
The strumming pattern remains D UUD UUD

[Em]
Paani da..rang vekh ke
[Em]
Paani da..rang vekh ke
[Em]
Paani da..rang vekh ke
[C] [D7] [Em] (single down strum on each chord)
Aankhiyaan jo anju rul de
[Em] [D]
Aankhiyaan jo anju rul de
[Em] [D]
Aankhiyaan jo anju rul de

[Em]
Maahiya na aaya mera
[D]
Maahiya na aaya
[Em]
Maahiya na aaya mera
[D]
Maahiya na aaya
[Em]
Raanjhana na aaya mera
[D]
Maahiya na aaya
[Em]
Maahiya na aaya mera
[D]
Raanjhana na aaya
[Em] [D]
Aankhaan da..noor vekh ke
[Em] [D]
Aankhaan da..noor vekh ke
[C] [D7] [E] (Again single down strum on each chord here)
Aankhiyaan jo anju rul de
[Em] [D]
Aankhiyaan jo anju rul de
[Em] [D]
Aankhiyaan jo anju rul de

Follow the same pattern for the next verse.

Now, for the next part, you can play a single down strum for each line in a little
slow tempo, kind of like an arpeggio.

[Em]
Kothe utte baihke
[D]
Aankhiyaan milaunde
[C] [D7] [D]
Na jaana humein tu kabhi chod
[Em]
Tere utte marda
[C]
Pyaar tenu karda
[D]
Milega tujhe na koi aur

Play the intro tab here again for the following two lines
Tu bhi aa…sabko chod ke
Tu bhi aa…sabko chod ke

[C] [D7] [Em] (Single down strum on each chord)
Meri aankhiyaan jo anju rul de
[Em] [D]
Aankhiyaan jo anju rul de

The last verse follows the same pattern as rest of the song.

So that's pretty much it. Play it and do let me know how it went for you.
