Song: Careless Whisper
Performed By: Barenaked Ladies (Live)
Written By: George Michael
Chorded/Tabbed by: David Rickard (2002)

This song is performed live by Barenaked Ladies quite often, and this is
the version I've got here. Its not neccessarily the same as George
Michael's version, but hey, I like it :-)

Guitar: I've seen Ed play this with one of his PRS guitars, so it calls
for a Humbucker, a dab of chorus and a nudge up on the gain maybe. You want
a warm sound for this song. Its capoed on the third fret.

Intro Riff. This is only played as the intro to the song.

VERSE

Am7 Amsus2 Dm Dmadd1
I feel so unsure,
     Dm11 A7sus4 (once)
As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor.

Am7 A7sus2
As the music dies...
Dm Dmadd1
Something in your eyes,

Dm11
Calls to mind a silver screen,
    A7sus4 (once)
And all those sad goodbyes.

CHORUS
Am7 Amsus2 Am7
I'm never gonna dance again,
Dm Dmadd1 Dm
Guilty feet have got no rhythm.
Dm11
Though it's easy to pretend,
A7sus4
I know you're not a fool.

Am7 Amsus2 Am7
I should have no better than to cheat a friend,
Dm Dmadd1 Dm
And waste the chance that I'd been given.
Dm11
So I'm never gonna dance again,
A7sus4 (once)
The way I danced with you.

INSTRUMENTAL (Play Chorus chords)

VERSE (Play Verse Chords, minus the Amsus2 and Dmadd1)
Time can never mend,
The careless whispers of a good friend.
To the heart and mind,
If your answer's kind...
There's no comfort in the truth,
Pain is all you'll find.

REPEAT CHORUS

BRIDGE (Play to verse chords music Amsus2 and Dmadd1)
Tonite the music seems so loud,
I wish that we could lose the crowd.
Maybe it's better this way,
We'd hurt each other with the things we want to say.

We could have been so good together,
We could have made this last forever...
But now, who's gonna dance with me?
Please stay.

Now that you're gone...
Now that you're gone...
Now that you're gone...
Was what I did so wrong?
So wrong that you had to leave me alone?

REPEAT CHORUS

And thats about it!

Thanks to TheHYPO for help on the chords. I messed up big time on them first off.
