Don t Bother Me chords
The Beatles

D Em

Em Bm Am G Em
Since she's been gone I want no-one to talk to me
             Bm Am G
It's not the same but I am to blame, it's plain to see

       Em A Em
So go away, leave me alone, don't bother me

          Bm Am G Em
I can't believe that she would leave me on my own
              Bm Am G
It's just not right when every night I'm all alone

            Em A Em
I've got no time for you right now, don't bother me

            D Em
I know I'll never be the same
           D Em
If I don't get her back again
          Bm Am
Because I know she'll always be
    C Em
The only one for me

               Bm Am G Em
But 'til she's here please don't come near just stay away
             Bm Am G
I'll let you know when she's come home until that day

            Em A Em
Don't come around, leave me alone, don't bother me
                               A Em
I've got no time for you right now, don't bother me

            D Em
I know I'll never be the same
           D Em
If I don't get her back again
          Bm Am
Because I know she'll always be
    C Em
The only one for me

               Bm Am G Em
But 'til she's here please don't come near just stay away
             Bm Am G
I'll let you know when she's come home until that day

            Em A Em
Don't come around, leave me alone, don't bother me
A Em
Don't bother me 3x

The Bm and the Am in the first two lines of the verses sound like major chords to me.
The big white "Beatles" Hal Leonard book has them as 7th's but I find the 7th's have too much of a bite in this context and in nowhere in this passage is a 7th note ever played with any of those chords( To make matters even worse, they have the following G and Em chords as G7 and E7 which has this transcription run off the rails even more! )
Also in that intro bit --and the bridge, with the four beats on the D before the Em, you could play the chords D, D/F#, Dsus2/E, D, Em.
You can easily just play a D through it, but including those chords will make it sound more like this specific song.

Hello..thank you for your interest in this song. I don't agree that the two chords you mention are major, they are, in my opinion, definitely "minor" chords. They are also not 7th chords. The "Beatles" books sometimes get things wrong. Having said that, everyone should play what sounds best to their ears.

Well Pen, change it to how I said it should be and let's see if people say it's wrong.

Or I'll post another one myself :-)
