Thanks Katie, for writing this one up.
As I hear it, the main chords are usually embellished with short and quick vamps -Am with Am7(x02010), Em with Em7(020000) and D with that I call a sus twiddle, using hoth Dsus4=xx0233 and Dsus2=xx0230 in quick succession. It takes a bit of practice to time it right, since the chords are changing fast to begin with, but it's really cool to play once you get it.
An easier "vamp" is that the C of the bridge (Why, tell me why...) is played with a strong alternating bass (C and G).
