SERVE YOUR SOUL - Ben Harper
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a long (but very cool) song. The album version has like five guitars but you
hear one at most times, so here's the lead guitar part:

Intro
e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--5p3-----5p3-----5p3-----5p3-----5p3--------------------------------------|
A|------5-------5-------5-------5-------5------------------------------------|
E|--------0-------0-------0---------------0-3/5-5-5-5-3b5r3------------------|
That part repeats for a long time then goes to this once:

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--5p3---5p3---5p3---5p3----------------------------------------------------|
A|------5-----5-----5-----5--------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------3/5-5-5-5-3b5r3----------------------------------|

Next comes the verse riff, which repeats throughout the verse:
e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-5-5-5-3-3-3-1-1-1-0-0-----------------------------------------------------|
G|-5-5-5-4-4-4-2-2-2-0-0-----------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------0------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------2------------------------------------------------|
E|------------------------3--------------------------------------------------|

Then finally the chorus. There are so many guitars going at this point, so I prefer to
along with the bass: (This part is pretty slow, and for the vibrato, you can use a whammy
but I prefer to just bend and release)

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-5---5---7---7---3---3---5~~~~~--------------------------------------------|

Then play the verse riff once, then play the chorus fill above again. Next go to the
verse. Then for the chorus, you'll do the same thing, except for the second half of the
play this:

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------10------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------10------------------------------------------------|
E|-5---5---7---7---3---3---10------------------------------------------------|
Next you go to the bridge:
e|------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-------3-------3---------------3-------3---------5b7--------------------------|
E|-5-6-7---5-6-7---3h5-3-0--5-6-7---5-6-7---3h5-3-0-----------------------------|

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-5-6-7-10-5-6-7-10-3-5-3-0--5-6-7-10-5-6-7-10-3-5-3-0-3b4------------------|
E|-5-6-7-10-5-6-7-10-3-5-3-0--5-6-7-10-5-6-7-10-3-5-3-0----------------------|

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-3-3-3-3-----------3-3-3-3-------------------------------------------------|
G|-5-5-5-5-----------5-5-5-5-------------------------------------------------|
D|-5-5-5-5-----0-3-0-5-5-5-5-------------------------------------------------|
A|-3-3-3-3-0-3-------3-3-3-3-0-3---------------------------------------------|
E|-------------------------------0-3-0---------------------------------------|
Then there's a long interlude with a bunch of D and A chords, so I just solo in A and D
end it after the bridge.

| / slide up
| \ slide down
| h hammer-on
| p pull-off
| ~ vibrato
