(will post at later date)play riff 1 for duration of solo main riff (x9) riff 1 (x3) Bridge (x1) main riff (x4)
I would play the main riff in first position with an A7 (w/the b7 [G note] doubled on the high E) and walking the bass notes down with my thumb, it's the only easy way to keep hearing an A7 in the top like you do on the record. Thanks for the tab though, it is appreciated
The thing's not written out properly - as in I'm not bagging you, don't think that, but it's pretty obvious that the main riff isn't just power chords. On the recording he plays completely differently, sort of like this:
e|-------------------------------0-----------------------------0-------------|
B|-----------------2----2----3---0---------------2----2----3---0-------------|
G|-----------------2----2----2----0h2------------2----2----2----0h2----------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------0----0------------------------0----0-------------------------|
E|--------------------3---32---20-------------------3---32---20--------------|
But good try though, I couldn't figure out how to play this for ages either - I used to play it exactly like you did until I realised that the riff in the verses could all be played in the first three frets.
I like to play the fill as:
E|-3-0----------------------|
B|------1-3--3/5-3--1-------|
G|--------------------2--0--|
It's just easier
