It's good, only thing, it would sound a lot better at capo at 2nd fret and play the verse like this (relative to capo so like an 11 without capo would be a 9 with)) :

Tom does a lot of open chords like this.
although your suggestion is playing the right notes differently, it is clear in the song he is using octaves on the a and g string with an open b audibly ringing out at times
