Hey everybody, this is one of my favorite Songs ever, it's from "These Days".
There's no 100% correct version of the song on UG.
It sounds pretty good, I hope it's correct!
Have fun and keep the faith!

Something To Believe In

Intro: Em C Em C G D 2x

Em C Em C G D
I lost all faith in my God, in his religion too
Em C Em C G D
I told the angels they could sing their songs to someone new
Em C
I lost all trust in my friends
Em C G D
I watched my heart turn to stone
Em C Em C G D
I thought that I was left to walk this wicked world alone

C G
Tonight I'll dust myself off
D Em
Tonight I'll suck my gut in
     C
I'll face the night and I'll pretend
      C
I got something to believe in

Em C Em C G D 2x

Em C
And I had lost touch with reason
Em C G D
I watched life criticize the truth
Em C
Waiting for a miracle
Em C G D
I know you have too

C G
Though I know I won't win
D Em
I'll take this one on the chin
      C
We'll raise a toast and I'll pretend
      C
I got something to believe in

     G D
If I don't believe in Jesus, how can I believe the Pope
     Em C
If I don't believe in heroin, how can I believe in dope
           G D
If there's nothing but survival, how can I believe in sin
     Em C
In a world that gives you nothing, we need something to believe in

Hi BenjaminBonJovi,

You did a wonderful job over there. Your progression is very correct. Your work actually made it easier for me to finally get the missing link. After listening to live renditions, the CD and playing on my acoustic guitar I realised that Em and C just need to be extended to become Em7 and Cadd9. You may also want to tune your guitar half a step down as well. Play it and give me a response.

Thank you very much!
