Brandi is pretty much the coolest singer/songwriter in the history of ever. Her
on stage floors me every time I see her perform. That said, here's one of my favorite
of
that I'm told will be the title track on her new album, "The Story", written by Phil
Hope you enjoy. If you don't know how the song goes, than go to more concerts.

The first verse is fingerpicked slowly usually up and down the d, g, and b, strings.
continues until the second line of the second verse when she uses a pick and rocks the

The Story

Standard Tuning
Capo II

             A
All of these lines across my face
             E
Tell you the story of who I am
        F#
So many stories of where I've been
          D
And how I got to where I am
          A
But these stories
           E
don't mean anything
            F# D
When you've got no one to tell them to
     A E A
It's true....I was made for you

          A <---(begin strumming softly)
I climbed across the mountain tops
E <-- (start rocking out like your hair is on fire)
Swam all across the ocean blue
                  F#
I crossed all the lines and I broke all the rules
           D
But baby I broke them all for you
        A E
Because even when I was flat broke
    F# D
You made me feel like a million bucks
         A E A
Yeah you do, and I was made for you

            A <--(back to fingerpicking)
You see the smile that's on my mouth
                E
It's hiding the words that won't come out
              F#
And all of my friends who think that I'm blessed
                D
Well they don't know my head is a mess
   A <--(strumming) E
No they don't know who I really am
    F# D A
And they don't know what I've been through, but you do
    E A
And I was made for you

A <---(hair is on fire again)
All of these lines across my face
             E
Tell you the story of who I am
        F#
So many stories of where I've been
          D
And how I got to where I am
          A
But these stories
           E
don't mean anything
            F# D
When you've got no one to tell them to
     A E A
It's true....I was made for you

That's it for now. Like 98% of the rest of the posts here, this is my first one, so let

I think it's a really good tab, it just sounds a little better to me played as F#M rather than F#...just trying to be helpful:-)..perfect in everything else.

There's a hell of a difference between F# and F#m.. but yeah, in everything else, very good job.
