this tab is 100% correct.  i toured with the band for a period of time so apart from
in the band i would know.  if the recording is tuned different tune to that if you are
along with it.  if playing live tune to the bellow mentioned tunning.  im not going to 
the bass out at all.  if you play bass all you need to know is to play the lowest note of
Guitar 2 is playing.  ie.  Guitar 2 plays an open chord (A) the bass plays a open note 
the E string that is now tunned to A.  follow the rythm guitar and you cant go wrong as a

tunning: Drop D with All Stings tunned down 3 hole steps down further.  aka Drop A

At the end of this riff the drums come in and guitars 1 and 2 play together the Guitar 1
bass is still following Guitar 2

on the last time through this riff before the breakdown verse comes in  substitute the
(the power chord being played on the sixth fret of the A string) power chord with this.

Guitar 2 plays an open note until the end of this riff where guitar 1 and 2 play
just like the intro.  then they both play this 2 times before switching to Breakdown

end with these note and bend up to raise the pitch slightly as they progress:  do not
the following riff for the end of the previous one.  just add it because the timing
and more notes are present.

For the rest of the song repeat verse 1 and 2 with both guitars playing in unison the
riff.  on the final note deaden all the strings on your guitar or switch to a pick up that
the volume turned all the way down depending on what kind of guitar your have.  the 
sounds a lot better live and in studio so long as your timing is perfect.  leaves you
a very dramatic stop to add to the whole effect of the song.  on the recording it is 
to tell because of the quality of the recording but im pretty sure they just deaden the 
allowing the little reverb they have in the mix to come through.
