The Cardigans - 03.45 No Sleep
tabbed by Alexander Staeger
This is a song from the album long gone before daylight, which is one of my all-time favorite albums
I noticed that there weren't too many of the Cardigans' songs on this site so i decided to add one...
unfortunately this was the only one I could figure out....Enjoy!!!
(Intro)
F, Dm x4
(Verse)
F
It's way too late to think of
Dm
Someone I would call now
F
The neon signs got tired
Dm
Red eye flights help the stars out
Am
I'm safe in a corner
F G
Just hours before me
F
I'm waking with the roaches
Dm
The world has surrendered
F
I'm dating ancient ghosts
Dm
the ones I made friends with
Am
The comfort of fireflies
F G
Long gone before daylight
(Chorus)
C F Dm
And if I had one wish fulfilled tonight
G C F Dm
I'd ask for the sun to never rise
G C Dm G
If God lent his voice to me to speak
F Dm, F, Dm
I'd say: "Go to bed, World!"
(Verse)
F
I've always been too lame
Dm
To see what's before me
F
And I know nothing sweeter than
Dm
Champagne from last new year's
Am
Sweet music in my ears
F G
And a night full of no fear
(Verse)
C F Dm
But If I had one wish fulfilled tonight
G C F Dm
I'd ask for the sun to never rise
G C Dm G
If God passed the mike to me to speak
C F, Dm
I'd say: "Stay in bed, World
G C F Dm G
Sleep in peace!"
(Outro)
C, F, G...
I hope this worked for you it's a great song feel free to comment...
Pretty much spot on. Only thing I'd say is that the F alternates between an F and an Fsus2 [133011] in the verses.
Good job! Just one tiny correction - it seems to me that the lines "If God lent his voice to me to speak" (and, correspondingly, "If God passed the mike to me to speak") are played in the song as G - Am - F - G.
