Sooo, I saw the video and heard the song for the first time last night... So I learned
it today. It's very simple so I thought I'd post it, and vuala here it is.
              Intro

A/C# E/B A/C# E/B (A)

             Verse 1
A
I don't need a parachute
F#m E
You don't need to ask if I'm okay
        A/C#
I can look after myself
A
We've been walking for hours now
F#m
My feet are starting to itch
E
Blisters crack all over my skin
A/C#
And my shoes don't even fit.

             Chorus
A
I'm so sorry for the pain, sorry for the aches,
                 F#m/A
Sorry for the moods I'm swinging.
E/G#
But I don't need your hand, I don't need your heart,
                      F#m
I don't need a parachute.

 A/C# E/B A/C# E/B (A)

            Verse 2
A
I have tried to carry you
F#m E
As far as I can go but I'm not strong
           A/C#
enough to do this on my own
A
I pack my bags to leave this town
F#m E
Cause I'm not welcome back here any more
            A/C#
Upon these shores

               Chorus
A
I'm so sorry for the pain, sorry for the aches,
                F#m/A
Sorry for the moods I'm swinging.
E/G#
But I don't need your hand, I don't need your heart,
                       F#m
I don't need a parachute.

A
I'm so sorry for the greed, Sorry for the hate,
                F#m/A
Sorry for the mess I left you
E/G#
But I don't want it back, I don't need it back
                      F#m/A
I don't need a parachute.

             Bridge

             A D A
Oh, may the love that we share come alive tonight
             A D A
And may the love that we share come alive tonight

             Chorus

A
I'm so sorry for the pain, sorry for the aches,
                F#m/A
Sorry for the moods I'm swinging.
E/G#
But I don't need your hand, I don't need your heart,
                       F#m
I don't need a parachute.

A
I'm so sorry for the greed, Sorry for the hate,
                F#m/A
Sorry for the mess I left you
E/G#
But I don't want it back I don't need it back
                      F#m/A

Chord progression in the 2nd half of the 2nd chorus is different, other than that seems solid!

What chord variations do you use?

@schecter006
Yes, actually since I submitted this in, I figured it out... the A/C# in the verses are really D. The F#m in the first chorus (not the (F#m/A)) is D/F#. On the second part of the chorus, the progression goes A to D/A back to A then E/G# (instead of A - F#/A - E/G# - F#m/A). After the bridge leading in to the chorus E is played (I prefer E/G# but I don't realy think it matters). Soooo actually there were alot of errors but I've fixed them, I'll try to fix them in this, or submit a second one but I thought I'd atleast comment before I tried because it takes 2 days of review to submit stuff (and it was in that time I found the corrections).

Sorry, I play piano, I don't know how to translate variations into guitars which is why I just use a slash mark to "denotate" what the lowest note would be in the chord per se. I hope that helps, sort of..
