rest a bit for guitar, then play some random sliding, not really important which notes, 
just a fill to transition to the next part.

this next line is liberally sprinkled with 5ths. i've not written them in
because where plays them changes, so just play 5ths whenever it feels
sounds right -- if you dont what a 5th is, its a musical term meaning an
interval of 7 half steps, or 5 scale degrees. if you dont know what THAT
means, its not really important. to play a fifth, play one 
and two frets up, so if you're playing 4 on the "a" string, the fifth of
that is 6 on the "d" string. pretty simple, just pepper this next line
with such notes
Lets call this the main verse riff. play it 4 times

 (yes, i know, they're 5ths again and i just could've said that, but these notes are 
more imporatant than the earlier 5ths so i'd prefer to emphasize them by writing them in)
