Some people might find it hard to sing as high as Colbie does in this song. So I thought
doing this tab where you can put the capo wherever you want in order so sing lower. In
song though, the capo is supposed to be on the 9th fret. Enjoy!

Adding a capo actually means changing the fingering to suit yourself. The sound is the same, so the singing part doesn't change. You are playing an C major chord with a capo, but it will still sound like an A major chord. But I've finally found the MV for it, and she did use a capo on the 7th fret to play the song.
This is good capo on 7 OR 9 beats the alternate tuning in the other tab.
or you can just transpose it to down 2 half steps and no capo if you have a low voice, but dont play sharps and for the aadd9 just take your third finger off of a
