Animals
Coldplay
Transcribed by Tom Donovan

I've seen some really rubbish transcriptions of this song and I'm not quite
sure where they got the chords from to be honest so I decided to do one myself.

This is basically a Chord Transcription for Piano Players, but it sounds really
cool if you put a capo on the 3rd fret and play it on acoustic guitar. I've put
the chords for this in brackets next to the concert pitch chords.

Intro: Eb(C) / F (D) / Eb(C) / F (D)// x2

Verse 1:
G (E) Eb (C)
Animals we are,

Cm (Am) G (E)
Disposable, collapsible and raw,

Eb(C) Cm (Am)
In you go into some crowded room,

	 G (E) Eb (C)
And animals that climb,

                          Cm (Am) G (E)
And they're climbing over you until you say,

Eb (C) Cm (Am)
"Off you go, off you go,"

Verse 2:
G (E) Eb (C)
Animal I am
                       Cm (Am) G (E)
And I'm looking for an answer just like you,

	  Eb (C) Cm (Am)
I should know which way to turn,
G (E) Eb (C)
An animal that runs
                    Cm (Am) G (E)
And I ran away from you because I'm scared,
       Eb (C) Cm (Am)
"Off you go, off you go,"

Chorus:
Ebmaj7 (C) F (Dadd11)
If you're gonna go, go now,
Ebmaj7	(C) F (Dadd11)
If you're gonna go, go now,
Ebmaj7	(C) F (Dadd11)
I forgot to tell you now,
Ebmaj7	(C) F (Dadd11)
So if you're gonna go,
	  [G (E)]
Go now,

Link: [G (E)] / Eb (C) / Eb (C) / Cm (Am) //

Verse 3:
G (E) Eb (C)
Animal you are,
		 Cm (Am)
Disposable, defenceless yes and,
G (E) Eb (C) Cm (Am)
Watch your mouth; boys watch your mouth,
G (E) Eb (C)
An animal that runs,
	                 Cm (Am)
And I made all my excuses to you,
G (E) Eb (C) Cm (Am)
And I missed my chance by a stones throw,

Chorus:
Ebmaj7 (C) F (Dadd11)
If you're gonna go, go now,
Ebmaj7	(C) F (Dadd11)
If you're gonna go, go now,
Ebmaj7	(C) F (Dadd11)
I forgot to tell you now,
Ebmaj7	(C) F (Dadd11)
So if you're gonna go,
	  [G (E)]
Go now,

Bridge: [G (E)] / Eb (C) / Eb (C) / Cm (Am) x4

Final Section:
	  G (E)
Now crumble,
 Eb (C)
Crumble and fall,
	                Cm (Am)
Crumble and fall like an animal,
	G (E)
Yes I crumble,
Eb (C)
Crumble and fall,
			 Cm (Am)
Crumble and fall like an animal,
      G (E)
Yes I crumble,

Eb (C)
Crumble and fall,

 			 Cm (Am)
Crumble and fall like an animal,
	G (E)
Yes I crumble,
Eb (C)
Crumble and fall,
			Cm (Am)
Crumble and fall like an animal,

G (E) / Eb (C) / Eb (C) / Cm (Am) // x4

It goes on for a bit after that with about 6 times through with
the G / Eb / Eb / Cm/ chord sequence, its just piano, and sum weird effects.

Chords for the guitar version capo 3rd fret

G (E) 022100
Eb (C) x32010
Cm (Am) x02210
F (Dadd11)	x54030 (You can just play a normal D chord but I have a bit of an
obsession with this chord so I put it in. Its also better in the intro and the
chorus because you can slide up and down between the C and D chords, rather than
taking your hand away and making it sound a bit mechanical)
