Opening riff. Distortion on, but volume knob turned down to about 2.  Make sure you keep 
dissonance of notes ringing throughout.

Note: while holding the "1s", push the neck with your arm to detune the guitar slightly. 
the little things that make this song so fucking sick :)

Just repeat those riffs and your in business. The solo is a distorted take on the intro. 
third time he plays the riff in the solo, he strums it quickly.

The same goes for the outro. Just play the post-chorus riff with distortion.
