Well Kids... This is actually how the song goes. I hear it this way
myself off the CD and have seen it played this way in clubs....It sound
better.
enjoy,

...
TWO Guitars:
1) capo 2nd fret. Actually it plays the same cords as the other
guitar but with the capo they are in the shape of the following:
C. + . + . + . + Am + . + . + . + Em + . + . + . + F. + . + G. + . +
e----------------|----------------|----------------|--------|--------
B1-----1---1-----|1-----1---1-----|0-----0---0-----|1-------|--------
G--0----0----0---|--2----2----2---|--0----0----0---|--2---02|0-020-02
D----2----2----2-|----2----2----2-|----3----3----3-|----3---|--------
A----------------|----------------|----------------|--------|--------
E----------------|----------------|----------------|--------|--------
If you're good you can play it with out the capo, just add 2 to every
thing. That way you can play the whole song with one guitar...
2) This guitar has no capo and simply plays D, Bm, F#m, G,and A:
D. , . , . , . , Bm , . , . , . , F#m, . , . , . , G. , . , A. , . ,
Understand the things I say don't turn away from me
D. , . , . , . , Bm , . , . , . , F#m, . , . , . , G. , . , A. , . ,
'Cause I spent half my life out there you wouldn't disagree
D. , . , . , . , Bm , . , . , . , F#m, . , . , . , G. , . , A. , . ,
do ya see me? do ya see,do you like me? do you like me standing
there
D. , . , . , . , Bm , . , . , . , F#m, . , . , . , G. , . , A. , . ,
do ya notice? do ya know,do you see me, do you see me?does anyone care?
The rest of the song does NOT change. It's just D, Bm, F#m, G, A. the
strumming goes like this (where "," is down, and "`" is up and "|" is a
chord change):
|,-,-,-,`-`,-,-,`|,-,-,-,`-`,-,-,`|,-,-,-,`-`,-,-,`|,-,-,--,|`-`,-,-,
Everyone seems to have their own version of the lyrics and thats OK. I
like to see how people use their own feelings to interpret how they
think the song should go. Remember Kids, she's Irish and has a tendency
to say things in her own way...
ERIN GO BRACH
enjoy,
