"old drouin" = "old roué" (a roué: a man devoted to a life of sensual pleasure)
"blackest shadow cowers" = OK (to cower: to show submission or fear, to bend)

Composed by Jacques Brel and released on Scott Walker's 'Scott' album in 1967. Much prefer the Walker version but am glad to have some chords for the song at last. Cheers.
