Hi, After I cleaned the wax out of my ears I noticed
some mistakes in my transcription of David Bowie's
"Song for Bob Dylan" so I hereby send you the correct version.

Song for Bob Dylan - David Bowie

Transcribed by Foena

Hunky Dory (1971)

Intro:	A	Abm	F#m	E Esus4(VII)
	A	E 7	F#m	B	Bsus4

A Abm
Hear this Robert Zimmerman
   F#m E	Esus4(VII)
I wrote a song for you
A Abm
About a strange young man called Dylan
            F# E
With a voice like sand and glue
           Abm C#m7
Some words in truthful vengeance
           B A
Could pin us to the floor
F#m E
Brought a few more people on

             A B7
Put the fear in a whole lot more

Chorus:
A
Ah, here she comes
A
Here she comes
D A
Here she comes again
A
The same old painted lady
	 E
>From the brow of the superbrain
            F#m
She 'll scratch this world to pieces
             G
As she comes on like an friend
          A
But a couple of songs
          A
>From your old scrapbook
            E
Could send her home again

You gave your heart to every bedsit room
At least a picture on the wall
Sat behind a million pair of eyes
And told them how they saw
Then we lost your train of thought
The paintings are all your own
While troubles are rising
We'd rather be scared
Together than alone

Chorus:

Repeat intro:

Now hear this Robert Zimmerman
Though I don't suppose we 'll meet
Ask your good friend Dylan
If he'd gaze a while down the old street
Tell him they've lost his poems
So they're writing on the walls
Give us back our unity
Give us back our family

F#m Abm
You're every nation's refugee
A B
Don't leave us with their sanity

Chorus:
Ah, here she comes
Here she comes
Here she comes again
The same old painted lady
>From the brow of the superbrain
She 'll scratch this world to pieces
As she comes on like an friend
But a couple of songs
>From your old scrapbook
Could send her home again

G
Couple of songs
G
>From your old scrapbook
                                      A
Could send here home again
                        D
Ah, here she comes
	 A
Here she comes
	   D
 Here she comes

Outro: A	Abm	F#m	E	Esus4(VII)
	  A	Abm	F#m B	E

That's about it, it may not be perfect but it 'll give you a way
To get started. (I'm not sure about E or E7 & B or B7 ?)

Note: E means the E chord seventh fret, ad the sus4 with your
pinky (tenth fret, second string).

Have fun,
Foena
