INTRO:
(its easy to finger pick at first then create your own variations)

play over keyboard part (improvise here)
e---------------------|
B-------8--------8----|
G-----9---9--------9--|
D---------------------|
A---7----------7------|
E---------------------|

this is mostly the keyboard part. . .
light distortion sounds good here
--------------------------------------|
----------12----10---8----------------|
---------9-----------9-------10p9-----|
-------10------------10-----------10--|
-----7-------7-------8-----8----------|
--------------------------------------|

VERSE:

"I don't mind the weather...."
heavy distortion
x--x--x--x--x--x---x---x--x--x--x---x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--|
x--x--x--x--x--x---x---x--x--x--x---x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--|
9--9--9--9--9--9---9---9--9--9--9---9--9--9--9--9--9--9--9--|
10-10-10-10-10-10--10--10-10-10-10--10-10-10-10-10-10-10-10-|
7--7--7--7--7--7---7---7--7--7--7---8--8--8--8--8--8--8--8--|
x--x--x--x--x--x---x---x--x--x--x---x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--|

"the hardest part is yet to.... come..."
(and also "you will cross the country . . . ALONE")

--x~-----x~~------ --x--| ETC.. back to verse
--x~-----x~~------ --x--|
--7~-----4~~------ --9--|
--7~-----5~~------ --10-|
--5~-----x~~------ --7--|
--x~-----3~~------ --x--|

End with variations of the intro.

This song is not difficult once you listen to it to figure out the timing. Play it along with it.

Also listen to the John Byrd EP for some sweet variations especially on the intro/outro.
can figure them out it's a fun song.

Let me know what you think. This is the first tab I ever made.

I really hate the x's. People should stop using them if they don't know what they mean. They mean you put your finger over the string to make it sound scratchy.

Add an 8 to the second string, and change the 7 in the 5th string to an 8 in the 6th string. That's the way it goes.

I hate it when pol can't find better things to do than leave a comment on someone tab, that obviously works note for note, about how they tabbed it out. Think about it...
