I was surprised no one has submitted any chords for this song yet so I took a shot at
it. I'm not sure precisely how accurate it is, but it sounds right to me.

Cmaj7 = 032003
Em/A = x0200
C/G = 332010
Dsus4 = xx0233

*Capo 4th Fret

Cmaj7
What ghosts exists behind these attic walls?
G Cmaj7
There's got to be a simpler explanation
                      G
Because I scrimped and I saved

Cmaj7 G
Just to find that they've been splicing my inventions
Cmaj7
Cold skin and bones and this latitude
G
 Cmaj7
We ain't paying until the heat comes through
                        G
So you slept in a stocking cap and wool scarf

Cmaj7 B
Promises of payments were
G
Upon your shoulders constantly
Cmaj7 B
But don't forget to entertain because
Em/A Dsus4 C/G
this is your first defense

Cmaj7
A four-year offense to the devoted type
G Cmaj7
I may have got an invitation, but I wasn't invited
             G
But I thought that this meant something more
                                                                    Cmaj7 G
Than broken hearts and new addictions
Cmaj7
We'll leave our sins within the carpet twine
G
      Cmaj7
Our bodies will dissolve the chemicals in due time

Cmaj7 B
Promises of payments were
G
Upon your shoulders constantly
Cmaj7 B
But don't forget to entertain because
Em/A Dsus4 C/G
this is your first defense

Em/A Dsus4 C/G
This is my LAST defense!
