I used my ear and put this song from piano to guitar as best I could.(made it very
This is my favorite Decemberists song...so I thought I should share it. Enjoy!
Intro-
D B G (sounds a bit better barred out)
D Bm G
After the bombs subside
D Bm
And this long, low campaign
G
Calls it good for the night
D B
We meet in the streets
Bm A G
Will we meet in a bar’s cold light?
D Bm
We grip at our hands
G
We hold just a little tight
G Fm E
After the bombs
E A D
After the bombs subside
-Same Verse Chords
And after the rockets come
And the glimmer of fire
Pretends an early dawn
We pinch at our skin
While we wonder how we escaped harm
We forget all our trials
All there in our baby’s arms
After the rockets
After the rockets come
Chorus-
D G D
Then we’ll go dancing
D G D
Won’t we go dancing?
D G Fm E
Yes, we’ll go dancing
A D
Until it all starts over again
Repeat Chorus Chords
Then we’ll go dancing
Yes, we’ll go dancing
Won’t we go dancing?
Until it all starts over again
-All I can say is that organ kicks ass!

I'm pretty sure the Es should all be Em, and instead of it being Fm in"G-Fm-E", the Fm should be F#m.
This would change that chord progression to G-F#m=Em, which sounds more like what Colin is playing. Other than that, the tab is great.
It also works with a capo on 2.
and the B in the verse before the Bm is a D9 (xx0212)
