First, a brief explanation of why I made this tab and why it is
more accurate than the others posted. None of the other tabs
have all of the notes, and some, like the current top rated bass
tab for this song, add parts that aren't there on top of it.
To be clear, this song does not consist only of single notes,
there are chords. The unique distortion featured on this song is
created by playing these chords on the Fender Rhodes Piano Bass,
which makes them sound like single notes, but somewhat distorted.
This effect may also be observed on Twentieth Century Fox. So take
heed, THIS is how the song is actually played. If you find it too
difficult to play, then just use the top-rated tab and take note of
the sections it inserts that are not on the actual song.
The bass on this song is played by Ray Manzarek on a Fender
Rhodes Piano Bass, not a bass guitar. Play it with your
fingers and listen to the recording to pick up on the exact
timbre of the notes. You can transpose the strings however
you like, as the bassline is not originally written for the
bass guitar. This is just the way I prefer to play it and
think sounds best. This is the whole song from beginning to
end, at least 99% accurate.
