song: Five to One
band: The Doors
album: Waiting for the Sun

Tuning: EADG

The whole song is pretty much this one riff, except for one spot where it changes by
out some
notes, and one place by adding one. If you listen to the song, you'll get it guaranteed.
has to be one
of the simplest songs ever for bass.

G|----------------------------|
D|----------------------------|
A|----------------------------|
E|--5-5-5-5--3/5--5-5-5-3/5---| repeat this until about 1:08

then at 1:08:
G|-------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------------|
E|--5-5-5-5-5-5--/7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7------|

The next different section starts at 1:33. It'a just the main riff, but only the slide
If you listen to the song,
you'll get it.

G|------------------|
D|------------------|
A|------------------|
E|--3/5-------------|

After that part ends, you go back once to the second riff, and after that to the main
for the remainder of the song.
Play with the song and you'll get it no problem. Remember, just because a bandage says
waterproof doesn't make
it so.

not with his feet, he had a fender rhodes piano bass which he used for the basslines..but that was only in the first album, after that they hired a different studio bassist for each albums, he played them live on the bass piano.
good tab, though. =]

At the 1:08 part it sounds like you slide up to the 12 fret on the E. I don't know whether you wanted to put that instead of the B that you put down but the b sounds really out of tune with the song
