Artist: Dr. Dog
Song: The Way The Lazy Do
Album: We All Belong
Key: D
Tuning: Standard

-Verse-

D
Lying on your back
G
In the night so black
D
Dreaming of sweet love
G
Just beneath above

D, G

There's a light on in the house
See the bug see the mouse
Hear em fight, hear em shout
Hit the lights and go out

-Bridge-

*Riff 1*
It's just that time of the year
                      D D7
that brings them here

-Chorus-

G /a /b /c# /e
Yesterday the day got colder
G /a /b /c# /e
Passed away got one day older
A G D
Now it seems that everything is new

Then today a rock rolled over
Came to life to kill the clover
Left to way the way the lazy do

*Riff 2*

-Verse-

In the dirt of the flood
There's a stick in the mud
But in the heat of the sun
It is cool to be one

-Bridge-

*Riff 1*
It's just that time of the year
So stick right here

-Chorus-

Yesterday the day got colder
Passed away got one day older
Now it seems that everything is new

Then today a rock rolled over
Came to life to kill the clover
Left to lay the way the lazy do

-Verse-

May your thoughts be kind
May your knots unwind
May your dogs drink wine
May your days kill time

And may your fears go blind
As your regret rewinds
A little peace of mind
May you wake to find

*Riff 1*
It's just that time of the year
That holds you dear

This tab is only right if you tune up a step. So, if you just put everything up a semitone, it should all be in tune with the song.

I'm pretty sure the band just plays it in the key of E and tune it down one step, though. The D shape becomes an E, the G an A, and so forth, but you're actually playing D# and G#. That's why I just said for you to tune everything up one semitone if you're going to use this exact setup.

Also, don't forget that on the

"It's just that time of the year
That holds you dear"

that you should play a... let's see, it should be a C#min in the key of E with the strings tuned down half a step, so the song's in the key of D# in general, and with it tuned down another step, you should be playing a Bmin before a G, then your D, then your D7, on that part.

But for the most part, this tab's right; I mean, the spaces between the transposed chords he's using aren't wrong, so that's something.
