Dredg

This is a beautiful, meditative piece from Dredg. The main lick from this song
appeared on the Catch Without Arms CD, at the end of Matroshka. Since its recording on Catch
Arms, the lick has evolved into more of a song. Whether or not it continues to be
I do not know. It is, however, a great way to introduce a bit of calm after a really
piece.

I have tried to make the tab as easy to understand as possible without being cumbersome.
are three sections in the song. There is the INTRO/VERSE, the INTERLUDE, and the OUTRO.

INTRO/VERSE

It's hard to define a time signature here, so listen to the recording for timing. Use
delay and volume swells.

Mike is playing three distinct phrases throughout, all with heavy delay and what I think
a phase effect.

Also, Dino is playing piano behind Mike's guitar at 0:44. The chords he is playing are
D, and G. You can have another guitarist play these chords across the phrases for a
effect.

Dino plays a Em-G-Bm-A, Em-G-A progression with little arpeggios within. This is as
as I've gotten without actually sitting in front of a piano and figuring it out.

OUTRO

Slide Guitar (2:06 to 2:32)

Then Gavin really works a single A on the 1st string for a while, finally sliding up on

Mike continues playing the phrases from the verse section in this pattern: ACBB

In the live recording, Gavin winds up for the next song, The Canyon Behind Her, on the

for the recording, you might.

That's about it for this song. Once you have the phrases and patterns down, there's
not much to it.

Best of luck!
