Verse:
D F#m
Let the night air cool you off
D F#m
Tilt your head back and try to cough.
E Bm
Don't say nothing 'bout the things you never saw.
D F#m
Let the night air cool you off.
I ain't living like I should.
A little rest might do me good.
Got to sinking in the place where I once stood.
Now I ain't living like I should.
Chorus:
E D A F#m
Can you hear that singing? Sounds like gold.
E D A F#m
Maybe I can only hear it in my head.
E D A F#m
Fifteen years ago we owned that road
B D
now it's rolling over us instead.
D F#m
Richard Manuel is dead.
Nice, accurate job, however to play this song the DBT way, tune the guitar down a whole step, then capo @ 2nd fret (check the Live @ 40 watt dvd for proof.)
tuning the guitar down a whole step and putting a capo on 2nd only brings it back to normal tuning
^true, but DBT play all their songs tuned down a half step
