O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
Arranged by Dustin Kensrue
Tabbed by Jonathan Doyle

There are two ways to play this. I hear them both when I listen to it so maybe
Dustin layered both. So get a friend to play with you.

Capo 8th Fret.
Note: Don't use the 3rd in the D chord.

  Em Am Em
O come, O come, Emmanu-el,
    G D Am Em
And ransom captive Isra-el,
     Am G D
That mourns in lonely exile here
  Em Am G
Until the Son of God appear.

D Em
Rejoice! Rejoice!
Am Em G D Am Em
Emmanu-el shall come to thee, O Isra-el.

    G D Am Em
Our spirits by Thine advent here;

The reason you're able to play both is because you're playing the same key- Cm. On the 3rd fret with the Am shape is a Cm, and the Em shape on the 8th fret is a Cm. It's basically just transposed to different chords but the same key, unless you move the capo.
