In The Ghetto - Presley Elvis
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I wrote this tab I tuned my guitar up ˝ step so the song is in A# but the
tab in A. There is actually no guitar in some parts of the song so I didn't
tab those parts (I still wrote down the chords). I recommend you just play
those chords similarly to the 'C#m, D and E part' showed below or if you're in
a band consider just don't playing them.
I don't have perfect hearing so there are probably mistakes in this tab but
hopefully just minor ones. I also don't speak perfect english.

This is the A/Asus4 part. Just play this every time you read 'A/Asus4'.

A/Asus4 (2x)
As the snow flies,
C#m
on a cold and grey Chicago mornin'
D E
a poor little baby child is born
A/Asus4 (x2)
in the ghetto.
And his mama cries,
C#m
'Cause if there's one thing that she don't need
D E
it's another hungry mouth to feed
A/Asus4
in the ghetto.
E
Ah, people don't you understand?
D A
The child needs a helping hand,
D E or E7? A
or he'll grow to be an angry young man some day.
E
Ah, take a look at you and me,
D A
are we to blind to see?
D C#m
Do we simply turn our head
Bm E
and look the other way?
A/Asus4
Well, the world turns.
C#m
And a hungry little boy with a runny nose
D E
playes in the street as a cold wind blowes
A/Asus4 (2x)
in the ghetto.
And his hunger burns,
C#m
so he starts to roam the streets
D E
and he learns how to steal and he learns how to fight
A/Asus4
in the ghetto.
E
Then one night in desperation
D A
the young man breaks away.
D C#m
He buys a gun, steals a car,
Bm E
tries to run, but he don't get far,
A/Asus4
and his moma cries.
C#m
As a crowd gathers 'round an angry young man,
D E
face down in the street with a gun in his hand,
A/Asus4 (2x)
in the ghetto.
And as her young man dies,
C#m
on cold and grey Chicago mornin',
D E
another little baby child is born
A/Asus4 (7x)
in the ghetto.
And his moma cries...
