A#sus2 F/A C/E
So is it courage or strength
        Gm Gsus2 Gm
and is that what I'm waiting for?
A#sus2 F/A C/E
If I could just kill myself
         Gm Gsus2 Gm
would it also kill the remorse?
A#sus2 F/A C/E
I wanted so badly to catch a break
        Gm Gsus2 Gm
but I'm only breaking down.
A#sus2 F/A
    I'm still here and standing
            C/E
but if it's up to me
    Gm Gsus2 Gm A#sus2 F/A C/E
I don't think I'll be hanging around

    Fsus2
The drink slips down my throat
        F/A
and the burn cures nice and slow.
        Gm C/E
All the worst parts I wouldn't want you to see
                       Fsus2
The only parts left of me

Now, here I am
       Dsus2
Just a kid without a better plan.
             F/A Gm
But it's the simple thoughts that haunt me the most.
  C/E
I never got to see the west coast.

A#sus2 F/A C/E
Spent my nights just asking why
       Gm Gsus2 Gm
Would God let me become like this.
A#sus2 F/A C/E
Was it a joke from the start?
          Gm Gsus2 Gm
Was I supposed to laugh more at it?
A#sus2 F/A C/E
And everyone's quoting their teachers and preachers
           Gm Gsus2 Gm
but their words make me feel so alone.
A#sus2 F/A~ C/E~
No one ever says that they've had those thoughts
         Gm Gsus2 Gm
in the middle of the night.
Asus2~ F/A~ C/E~
No one ever admits that they wanted to take their life.

      Fsus2
The drink slips down my throat
         F/A
and the burn cures nice and slow.
         Gm C/E
All the worst parts I wouldn't want you to see
                       Fsus2
The only parts left of me

Now, here I am
        Dsus2
Just a kid without a better plan.
             F/A Gm
But it's the simple thoughts that haunt me the most.
    C/E
I never got to see the west coast.

Repeat Interlude

             Dsus2*
But it's the life I dreamed I have
     A/C#
The love I find in my grasp
     Am/C G/B
The words I could share with someone.
        Dsus2*
Those thoughts keep the breath in my lungs
       A/C#
That tomorrow my hope will become
   Am/C G/B
fulfilled by a love that can't be undone.
    A#sus2 F/A C/E
And save a wretch like me.

Chorus
          Fsus2
So if the drink slips down your throat
        F/A
and the burn cures nice and slow.
         Gm C/E
All the worst parts you wouldn't want me to see.
                          Fsus2
The same parts, I have in me
                          Dsus2
Now, scares me too we are both this way.
                    F/A
I feel just like you do.
                                        Gm
But when you're by yourself you should know
    C/E
One day we got to see the west coast.

Why do you say to end on A#sus2? At the top, you have it as Bbsus2. As we all should know, A# is the same thing as Bb.

I had it typed as A#sus2 throughout the whole song, but when it highlighted the chords, it must have automatically changed them to Bb.
