With your dreams de par ted?
(REPEAT FIRST PATTERN)
And who alone will comfort you?
Only the brokenhearted.
So you've gone beyond your means
Where every wound is opened.
Your best laid plans are out of reach
And all your fears unspoken.
Lord, how will you get through this night
With your dreams departed?
And who alone will comfort you?
Only the brokenhearted.

Lord I would rather be alone.
I press my fingers to the wood
To tell you of my dreaming.
To sing you songs from olden time
to keep the lovelight gleaming.
'Cause there's a place where we can go
Where we will not be parted.
And who alone will enter there?
Only the brokenhearted.
Only the broken, brokenhearted.
Only the broken, brokenhearted.
Only the broken, brokenhearted.
Only the broken, brokenhearted.
Only the broken, brokenhearted.
nice, but th7e bridge part is slightly off
The first lines (the verses, I guess) seem to be accurate and exactly as Clapton plays them in the videos I have seen. However, some of the chord names shown are incorrect. Here's what I call these chords: B, Emaj7, C#min, A6 (the high E string is not played), B, Emaj7, A, and the last chord could be called Amaj7sus2 or, more likely, E/A.
The next section (chorus) should be: E, Asus2 (open B string), F#min (in the key of E it's F#min, not Gbmin), B, G#min (Key of E again!), C#min (no Dbmin in this key), F#min, B.
That's as far as I've gotten. Excellent tabs for this beautiful song!
