SITUATIONS - Escape The Fate
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tabbed by: Starminn
E-mail: Robr3rd@aol.com

Tuning: Drop C (DAFCGC)

This Tab includes:
                   I.)   A long preface.
                   II.) Different methods for "Situations" solo.
                   III.) The ACTUAL ending of "Situations."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

      So... Seeing as how most of the tabs for this song's solo (in both whole song form
solo form) are predominantly inaccurate... Here is my best attempt at how it SHOULD go...

      This is the lead guitar only, and since I can't find a very... practical... way to
this, I'll give you all a couple methods to choose from. I guarantee that these can all
played up to speed, but... the first one is by far the easiest for me to play (and sound good).

      Also, every ending of this song that I've seen is... unimpressive... So at the
BOTTOM is the ACTUAL ending of "Situations."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway. Here it is:

(2:36-2:53)

Method 1:

--------------13-15-17p13-------------------------13-15-17p13--------------
-----------15-------------15-------------------15-------------15-----------
--------14-------------------14-------------14-------------------14--------
-----15-------------------------15-------15-------------------------15-----
--17-------------------------------17-17-------------------------------17--
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------14-15-17-18p15-14-------------------14-15-17-18p15-14-----------
--------14-------------------14-------------14-------------------14--------
-----15-------------------------15-------15-------------------------15-----
--16-------------------------------16-16-------------------------------16--
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Method 2:

--------------13-15-17p13-------------------------13-15-17p13--------------
-----------15-------------15-------------------15-------------15-----------
--------14-------------------14-------------14-------------------14--------
-----15-------------------------15-------15-------------------------15-----
--17-------------------------------17-17-------------------------------17--
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

-----------------12-13-------------------------------12-13-----------------
-----------14-15-------15-14-------------------14-15-------15-14-----------
--------14-------------------14-------------14-------------------14--------
-----15-------------------------15-------15-------------------------15-----
--16-------------------------------16-16-------------------------------16--
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Method 3:

--------------13-15-17p13-------------------------13-15-17p13--------------
-----------15-------------15-------------------15-------------15-----------
--------14-------------------14-------------14-------------------14--------
-----15-------------------------15-------15-------------------------15-----
--17-------------------------------17-17-------------------------------17--
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------9-10-12-13p10-9---------------------9-10-12-13p10-9------------
---------10-----------------10---------------10-----------------10---------
------10-----------------------10---------10-----------------------10------
---11-----------------------------11---11-----------------------------11---
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Method 4: (If you REALLY want to make life hard on yourself...
           All 4-string sweeps... If you're into that kinda thing...
           It's possible to play up to speed... I promise... But...
           VERY impractical...)

                          Optional...Makes life easier, though.
-----------------------------------
                          v                                   v
-----------10-13-15-17-13\10-------------------10-13-15-17-13\10-----------
--------10-------------------10-------------10-------------------10--------
-----10-------------------------10-------10-------------------------10-----
--12-------------------------------12-12-------------------------------12--
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------9-10-12-13p10-9---------------------9-10-12-13p10-9------------
---------10-----------------10---------------10-----------------10---------
------10-----------------------10---------10-----------------------10------
---11-----------------------------11---11-----------------------------11---
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

      So that's it. Again, I prefer Method 1, but I know that everyone's styles are
so I hope that I've accomodated everybody's needs.

      If you would like this in a different style, just e-mail me, and I'll probably
e-mail whatever you requested to you, although I can't fathom a reason as to why anybody
POSSIBLY want it in 3-string sweeps (HA! Maybe if your arms are aerodynamically
and slide every note {ew!} --Can you tell I tried, though? Lol.--!) or in 6-string sweeps
in Drop tuning... Seriously?), but hey, some of you are just cool like that.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The ACTUAL end of the song:

|-----17~~~\13-13~~~-17~~~\12-12~~~~12/13~~~~~~|-||
|-----18~~~\15-15~~~-15~~~\13-13~~~~13/15~~~~~~|-||
|-----------------------------------12/14~~~~~~|-||
|----------------------------------------------|-||
|----------------------------------------------|-||
|----------------------------------------------|-||

----->While it's uncomfortable, if you want seamless transitions, use your index and
finger for all of the first harmonic notes (the 2nd-string), and then use your middle for
3rd-string harmonic notes at the end.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Yup, that's it. It's fast. It's hard. It's absolutely unnecessary. But then again,
are all of the Tabs labeled "Advanced." =D

Umm... Okay, so some grammatical corrections are in order since Ultimate Guitar just LOVES to cut people off in mid-sentence...

One: After all 4 Methods... "...although I can't fathom a reason as to why anybody [would] POSSIBLY want it in 3-string sweeps..."

Two: When I'm describing a technique to play the ending in... "...if you want seamless transitions, use your index and [ring] finger for all of the first harmonic notes (the 2nd-string)..."

So yeah... I hope that clears things up a little. Basically for the ending I'm just saying,

"Use your index finger for the first string the whole time.
Use your ring finger for the second string the whole time.
Use your middle finger for the last third string bit."

Anyway. Enjoy.

awesome 5 stars
one thing though.
in method 1, the "19p15", wouldn't the 19 be an 18?
i compared the notes in the other methods and (i think) its just a typo.
no big deal
thanks for all the methods

Heheh, yes, you're absolutely right. I always kept hitting the right fret on impulse and never even realized what I was doing didn't match the tab. O.O I'll fix it right away. :) Thank you for pointing that out, electrarookie.
