During the verse a chord is strummed and this sounds about right to Me:

D|--7~--| And on the main riff, instead of ending on:
A|--8~--| C|--9\--|
F|--9~--| G|--7\--|
C|--9~--| It should be:
G|--7~--| G|--2\--|
C|------| C|--2\--|
