Not sure if there are resonating effects or is it a 12 string guitar for the double 
string-like sound.

I dismissed the possibility that it is 2 string played together on a normal 6 string 
guitar because the first riff being played is definitely not the 1st string G and the 
second string D together.
Sounds totally different and off pitch.
It is tuned down half a step. Yes, I tabbed this with it half step down.[though I 
initially was too lazy to turn the knobs xP]
