I think in the verse, it's like

you have extra notes that dont belong, it's just a slowish slide. Other than that, seems good. And don't change the damn tuning. This is how it's played, there's no need for it to be modified because youre lazy mariano.
After seeing this played live, I think for the Intro riff, Gus plays all the parts you have on the 5th fret of the D string, played open on the G string.
