G#m 4x6444
C#6/G# 446666
G#m7 4x6447
C#6/G# 446666

or

G#m 4x6444
C#6/G# 446666
G#m7 xx6877
C#6/G# 446666

(continue intro)

Light up with me my dear,

Light up.

Under stormy night, tell nobody.

(intro)

My brother where do you intend to go tonight?

I heard that you missed your connecting flight,
       C#m (intro)
to the blue ridge mountains, over near Tennessee.

You're ever welcome with me any time you like,

Let's drive to the country side, leave behind some green-eyed
   C#m
look-A-likes,
                       (intro)
So no one gets worried, no.
    C#m (intro)
So no one gets worried, no.

    C#9 (funny)
But Sean don't get callous,
    C#9 (funny)
I'm sure it'll be fine.
   B C#m9
I love you, I love you,
D#m7 C#m
Oh brother of mine.

C#m...

        C#m
In the quivering forest,
         F#
Where the shivering dog rests,
         E
I will do it grandfather,
          B
Wilt to wood and end.
         C#m
And the river got frozen,
        F#
And the hole got snowed in,
       E
And near the moon glow ride,
          B
Till the morning light.

C#m D#m
Terrible am I child?
C#m D#m
Even if you don't mind,

        C#m
In the quivering forest,
      F#
Where the shivering dog rests,
          E
Our good grandfather,
        B
Built a wooden nest.
         C#m
And the river got frozen,
        F#
And the home got snowed in,
          E
And a yellow moon glowed bright,
         B
'Til the morning light.

C#m D#m7
Terrible am I child?
C#m D#m7
Even if you don't mind,

C#m D#m7
No.

The lyrics in the chorus are incorrect. They should be "In the quivering forest / where the shivering dog rests / Our good grandfather / Built a wooden nest / And the river got frozen / And the home got snowed in / And a yellow moon glowed bright / 'Til the morning light.
