Cappo on 5th fret
I originally started notating the song in open C when I realized he plays
the A# (the highest note in the into) on the 12th fret, which changes the
rest of the tuning. Also I have a feeling instead of an E for the G string
as in open C tuning, he probably tunes to another C. There's no name for
this tuning really, but strummed open its a C7 chord. Open C7 tuning if you like.
Thanks to Travmann777 for the helpful advice. Let me know how
this sounds and if there's any corrections you think could be made.

He then does some variations high up on the neck. This is close, but it's
difficult to isolate Pecknold's exact playing with the electric guitar and
mandolin playing similar but different and louder variations over him.

Interesting. That makes sense since he's got the cappo on the 5th fret and is able to play the low f note, which in open C tuning the 5th fret (open E string w/cappo) is an f. I knew it was an alt. tuning, but didn't have the energy to experiment at the time, though with all the open C chords I supposed I should have known. Meh, oh well. I'll re-tab it. For the intro riff, if there's a capo on 5 do you mean play the open string instead of 5? Also the verse riff is deffinitely wrong and I'm not sure about some of the chord shapes. There's also a second part to the solo but good try, been said but deffinitely not played in standard live.
