drank away the rest of the day

wonder what my liver'd say

blackened days with their bigger gales

that you need, you build to keep afloat.

that you built...

sick and tired of what to say

jumped away from the ball and chain

breath, it's all you can

rambling years of lousy luck

miss the smell of burning turf

dream, it's all you can

it's a ripe old age
it's a ripe old age
it's a ripe old age
that's what i am
a ripe old age
a ripe old age
a ripe old age
that’s what i am

And for any mandolin or violin players,
the interlude is as follows:
e|--0-0-1-0h1p0----------0-0-1-0h1p0---------------------|
A|--------------5-3-0----------------5-3-0---------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------------------|
e|--0-0-1-0h1p0------------------------------------------|
A|--------------5-3-2---0-2-3-5--------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------------------------|
It's not just an Am chord after the last set of choruses to the end. It follows the pattern
Am - C - Dm - Am over and over again while the interlude plays over it.
Great tab though.
I agree with oneordinarylife.
and I think that the Fmaj7/A is actually an ordinary F chord (xx3211). Fmaj7/A sounds right too though...
still great tab! :) *****
I realize that this is a guitar site and the tab is great but the lyrics aren't exactly correct........what a great song though…
