* For the majority of the song, you basically make the Am7 chord and simply
change the bass notes using your ring finger.

* The Am7 actually sounds more like an Am. But you need your ring finger
for the bass so, that's that. It sounds similar anyways. lol

CHORDS:
     C Am7/B Am7 Am7/G F G Am A Dm D
  e|-0-----0-----0-----0-----1-----3-----0-----0-----1-----2---------------|
  B|-1-----1-----1-----1-----1-----0-----1-----2-----3-----3---------------|
  G|-0-----0-----0-----0-----2-----0-----2-----2-----2-----2---------------|
  D|-2-----2-----2-----2-----3-----0-----2-----2-----0-----0---------------|
  A|-3-----2-----0-----x-----3-----2-----0-----0---------------------------|
  E|-------------------3-----1-----3---------------------------------------|

INTRO:
C Am7/B Am7 Am7/G F C

VERSE I:
C Am7/B Am7 Am7/G
You really should accept This time he's gone for good
F G
He'll never come back now Even though he said he would

REFRAIN:
Am G
So, darling, dry your eyes So many other guys
F G
Would give the world I'm sure To wear the shoes he wore

CHORUS:
            C Am7/B Am7 Am7/G F
Oh, c'mon smile a little smile for me, Rosemarie
              G
What's the use in cryin'?
C Am7/B Am7 Am7/G F
In a little while you'll see, Rosemarie
             G
You must keep on tryin'
A Dm
I know that he hurt you bad
D G
I know, darling, don't be sad and
C Am7/B Am7 Am7/G F C
Smile a little smile for me, Rosemarie, Rosemarie

(sorry, too lazy to do the rest. Chords are just the same.)
I guess you're lonely now
Love's comin' to an end
But, darling, only now
Are you free to start again
Lift up your pretty chin
Don't let those tears begin
You're a big girl now
And you'll pull through somehow

Oh, c'mon smile a little smile for me, Rosemarie
What's the use in cryin'?
In a little while you'll see, Rosemarie
You must keep on tryin'
I know that he hurt you bad
I know, darling, don't be sad and
Smile a little smile for me, Rosemarie, Rosemarie

[Brief Instrumental Interlude]

Smile a little smile for me, Rosemarie, Rosemarie
