----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN - Foo Fighters ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tabbed By : electric prune e-mail: hardmanmax@yahoo.co.uk Tuning: Standard Tempo: 116 (quite slow) I'm aware that this isn't how it's played in the song,and the bass doesn't come in until the second verse, and also that the notes in each bar are played more than once, but this way it's open for improvisation.(And i tabbed out the start in case you were curious). A really easy tab that's fun to play and fun to play with! G|----------------| D|----------------| A|----------------| E|3---3---3---3---| G|-------------------------------| D|-------------------------------| A|--------3---3----------3-------| E|3---3-----------5---6------1---| x2 G|----------------| D|----------------| A|------8---------| E|3-5-6---8-------| x3 G|----------------------------------------------------------------| D|--------5---------------5---------------------------------------| A|6---------------6---------------8-------------------------------| E|----------------------------------------8-----------------------| G|-------------------------------| D|-------------------------------| A|--------3---3----------3-------| E|3---3-----------5---6------1---| x2 G|----------------| D|----------------| A|------8---------| E|3-5-6---8-------| x3 G|------------------------------------------------| D|--------5---------------5-----------------------| A|6---------------6---------------8---------------| E|----------------------------------------8-------| G|----------------------------------------------------| D|--------5---------------5---------------------------| A|6---------------6---------------8-------------------| E|----------------------------------------8---8/20----| G|----------------| D|----------------| A|------8---------| E|3-5-6---8-------| x4 G|------------------------------------------------| D|--------5---------------5-----------------------| A|6---------------6---------------8---------------| E|----------------------------------------8-------| G|----------------------------------------------------| D|--------5---------------5---------------------------| A|6---------------6---------------8---------------5---| E|----------------------------------------8---8-8-----| ------------------------------------------------------|(the part that goes strange) G|----------------------------------------------------| D|--------5---------------5---------------------------| A|6---------------6---------------8-------------------| E|----------------------------------------8---8/20----| End: G|--------| D|--------| A|--------| E|3-------|
Well accually,
there is a bass line early in the song ;)
For this song, old bass player from nirvana Krist Novoselic played as a guest on this song. His bass is the one which is more noticable later on by the heavy dissorted bass. but yeah.
Youve got the right notes so that helped me :)
I think that the part towards the end is
G---------------------------|
D---------------------------| x2
A--5-55--555------------|
E--------------5-55-555-|
G----------------------------|
D----------------------------|
A----------------------------|
E--0-00-000-7-77-777--|
And here's the turnaround chords
At least this is what it looked like in the Back and Forth movie when Krist was playing for the record.
